New cases of kidney cancer are diagnosed every day. We know from our friends at the National Cancer Institute that, on average, 6,750 new cases of kidney cancer are diagnosed per month. That would mean that by April of 2025, an estimated 27,000 new cases of kidney cancer will have been diagnosed since January 1 of this year.

For this reason we have created the 2025 DTC Pit Crew Challenge to mobilize 27 donors to join the fight and support Driven To Cure during this special fundraising challenge from April 16 to May 16.

While any donation is greatly appreciated, we are especially focused on new recurring monthly donors for this special campaign. Recurring monthly donors are supporters who set up an automatic recurring monthly donation, for as little as $5, to be granted to charities they love. Will you join us?

For example a monthly donation of $5 would just cost $60 a year, but will be invaluable in helping us support our partners at the National Institutes of Health and UCLA Health’s Kidney Cancer Program to find a cure. Again, gifts of any amount—either recurring or one time gifts—will count towards this special challenge.

All contributed funds will be used by Driven To Cure to help find a cure for HLRCC and other rare and under-diagnosed kidney cancers, including our support of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. To date Driven To Cure has donated more than $1,400,000 to support cutting-edge kidney cancer research.
